Frequently Asked Questions


Question: Will Math 418 be offered in the fall?
Answer: Yes.
Question: What grade do I need in order to advance to calculus?
Answer: A student should get a grade of C or better in MATH 418 to advance to Calculus.
Question: Is MATH 418 required to enroll in Math 420, Finite Mathematics?
Answer: Math 418 is NOT required to enroll in Math 420. The equivalent of Math 302, Elementary Math II, is required to enroll in Math 420.
Question: I want to audit MATH 418 instead of taking it for credit?
Answer: A student can audit any course at UNH.
Question: What if I audit MATH 418 instead of taking it for credit? Can I advance to calculus?
Answer: The prerequisites for Math 425 are: AP credit, a Grade of C or better in Math 418, or a passing score on the placement test.
If you audit MATH 418 you will have to pass the placement test in order to advance to calculus.
