Algebra-Trigonometry Practice Pretest
for entering first-year students in the
College of Engineering and Physical Sciences
University of New Hampshire

The purpose of this test is to give you practice with the sorts of questions that will be asked on the algebra-trigonometry pretests given during June orientation (for students entering the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences), and again at the beginning of the calculus course (for all students in the course).

The results of this practice test will not become part of any course grade at UNH, and will certainly not affect your acceptance at UNH.

The test is written to provide you with an individualized list of particular topics (for example: fractions, or inequalities, or logarithms, or trigonometry) where review now will make the most difference to your success - both with the ''real'' pretests, and in your calculus course at UNH.

We will be able to send you reading materials and homework problems to help you review those topics.

To make your test results meaningful, you should take the test as it was intended:

When you finish the test, you will see a confirmation right away of the answers you checked, and an e-mail with your answers will be sent to us. We will shortly thereafter return your test results to the e-mail address you give us:

Please type your e-mail address here (including the '@' part):

If you have other questions: the Mathematics Department's telephone number is (603)862-2320, and its FAX number is (603)862-4096.
