MATHCOUNTS
The MATHCOUNTS Competition is a national middle school coaching and competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievement through a series of fun and engaging "bee" style contests. The program exists in all 50 states plus U.S. territories and the Department of Defense and State Department schools and is supported by the National Society of Professional Engineers at the state and local levels. Public, private, religious and home schools alike are eligible to participate, as long as students are in the sixth, seventh and/or eighth grade.
The Seacoast Regional MATHCOUNTS Competiton is coordinated by the Department of Mathematics & Statistics. The Regional Competition is held in February at UNH, and the top placers at the competiton advance to the State Competiton held at Plymouth State University (PSU). The grand finale is the 2013 Raytheon MATHCOUNTS National Competition in Orlando, FL!
The Seacoast Regional Competition will be held on February 9, 2013!
