Annie

I got Annie for my girl-friend (now my wife) as an anniversary gift. We brought her home from the Raleigh, NC Humane Society. Since then we have moved up to Yankee land, and Annie has come to learn about cold weather and snow. She doesn't seem to mind the snow, but the cold she can do without. She is a strange cat...

The folks at the shelter said that she was probaly about a year old when she arrived there. She was in good shape, but she wasn't so keen on life at the shelter. Of course, the people at the shelter were nice and good to her, but the quarters were a bit confining. We weren't able to take her straight home. Instead she had to stay at my apartment until we got the results from her leukemia (sp?) test. There were a couple of snafus, and we did not get the results back for a couple of days. During this time, Annie took it upon herself to stay up all night and make as much noise as possible. Fortunately, she has calmed down since then, but not much.

Annie is a bit high strung. Fortunately, there seems to be enough wildlife outside our windows to keep her occupied during her brief waking moments. For some reason she prefers small birds and large mammals. She got extremely excited to see a skunk and later a fox outside our house, but she was not amused in the slightest by a small group of turkeys. Did I mention that she is a strange little critter?

Do not get too close to her during feeding times.

When these two get together it usually means trouble.

Annie looks like this in 3D.
