Boston University PROMYS Program

June 30 - August 10, 1996
15 students approx.
Boston University hires undergraduates with strong mathematical backgrounds (including work in number theory) to serve as counselors in its Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS). Counselors will assist 60 gifted high school students in numerical exploration, the formulation and critique of conjectures, and techniques of proof and generalization. Counselors also have the opportunity to attend seminars in advanced mathematics.

Room and Board: $1380
(books may cost an additional $100).
Financial Aid is available.

Budapest Semester in Mathematics Program

The Budapest Semester in Mathematics Program provides a unique opportunity for North American undergraduate mathematics and computer science majors to spend a semster or two in Budapest studying under the tutelage of eminent Hungarian scholar-teachers.

CSCS' 1995 SUMMER STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

This year, the Swiss Scientific Computing Center CSCS-ETH, in collaboration with other Swiss academic institutions, will organize the third summer course for undergraduate students in Manno (TI), Switzerland. CSCS' Summer Student Internship Program (SSIP) is embedded in the Education Laboratory (EdLab), part of CSCS' Section of Research and Development (SeRD).
